I started this towel years ago. Every now and then I pick it up and do a little on it. There is some pretty scruffy stitching on it from when I was new to embroidery. One day it will be finished and i probably won't want to use it after working on it for so long! Anyone have a really ancient WIP they revisit every now and then?

Oh wow this just gave me a really cute idea. I have a set of towels that would really look cute with a mushroom pattern. :) This one looks really adorb, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI am one of those people who does like 100 different hobbies, and I rotate between them pretty regularly. Leave the project aside for a while and come back in a few weeks/months/years... lol.
Beautifull stitch..love your work.
ReplyDeleteYes I have a lot of unfinished products in my drawers...now I am wondering how old are they?? :P
Jamie- hope your mushroom towel is finished faster than mine!
ReplyDeleteThings in life- Thankyou! I find starting new projects much more exciting than finishing old ones but am making a real effort to finish a few things off before I run out of craft storage space!
First of all, I love this! Do you plan on outlining the top of that mushroom in red, or is the whole piece going to be stitched in ecru?
ReplyDeleteI've carried around a latch hook rug of a holstein cow since I was in the fifth grade. The kicker is that it's 90% done!
The top will be in red... if I ever get round to it, that is!
ReplyDeleteDo you plan on finishing your rug? Race you to the finish!
That wouldn't be fair, I have a big head start!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll just frame it and hang it up unfinished!
I just finished a pair of pillowcases I worked on over two years! Since I always like to be working on something while I'm on the couch they were my back-up project. Whenever I found myself without a quilt to quilt or a special gift to finish I'd pull them out and plug away. Dishtowels are another great back-up project and this one looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Molly, it's always good to have a back-up project!
